SOLI! 2!

It takes a lot of courage and strength to hold out in for weeks in the severy cold Votive Church! The Refugees in Votive Church have shown how important it is for them that the rights that they demand – their rights – are put into effect:

  • Basic support and care (“Grundversorgung”) – independent of one’s legal status
  • Freedom of movement
  • Access to labour market and to further training and education (e. g. German language classes)
  • Cessation of deportation
  • Independent re-checks of any negatively decided asylum procedure
  • Recognition of socio-economic motives for escape

How can “we” help? Anybody can show their solidarity: In Votive Church, at a demonstration, in talks, by donation – and by joining Refugee Action ProtestSoli 2, by sharing the event on FaceBook, by spreading the word via e-mail and by inviting your friends and bringing them along.

The ProtestSoli on Jan 30 at WUK already was a wonderful party together with the refugees. Let’s celebrate the refugees’ courage once more! Because – unfortunately – a lot of money is being needed these days – especially for legal counsel of the protesting and striking refugees. 100% of the evenings’ net profit will go to the refugees in and around Votive Church.

Special thanks go out to the artists and to WUK!

 Es erfordert viel Mut und Kraft, wochenlang in der bitterkalten Votivkirche auszuharren! Die Flüchtlinge in der Votivkirche beweisen damit, wie wichtig ihnen die Duchsetzung ihrer Rechte ist, sie fordern:

  • Grundversorgung unabhängig vom Rechtsstatus
  • Bewegungsfreiheit
  • Zugang zum Arbeitsmarkt und zu Weiterbildung wie z.B. Deutschkursen
  • Abschiebestopp
  • Unabhängige Überprüfung aller negativ beschiedenen Asylverfahren
  • Anerkennung von sozioökonomischen Fluchtmotiven

Wie können wir helfen? Solidarität zeigen kann jedeR von uns, sei es in der Votivkirche, bei Demos, in Gesprächen, in Form von Spenden usw. – oder auch, indem du zum Refugee Action ProtestSoli 2 kommst, das Event auf Facebook und per Mail verbreitest und all deine Freund*innen einlädst.

Das ProtestSoli am 30.1. im WUK war ein wunderbares Fest gemeinsam mit den Flüchtlingen. Lass uns wieder den Mut der Flüchtlinge feiern! Denn es wird leider sehr viel Geld benötigt – vor allem für die rechtliche Vertretung der an dem Protest beteiligten Refugees. Der Reinerlös des Abends geht zu 100% an die Flüchtlinge in und um die Votivkirche.
