Diskussionsveranstaltung mit Aktivist*innen der Refugee Protest Bewegung Wien, sowie Lehrenden und Studierenden der Akademie der bildenden Künste
Die vielfache Einbindung der Akademie in die andauernden Refugee Proteste ist durch die aktive Beteiligung Studierender und Lehrender seit deren Beginn im Herbst 2012 gegeben. Die Initiative Kunst_Kultur : Stop Deportation, als Plattform von Unterstützer*innen aus dem Kreise der Akademie der bildenen Künste, hat bereits in verschiedenen Aktionen auf die Situation und Forderungen von Refugees aufmerksam gemacht und Solidarität bekundet. Was an aktivem Austausch unter anderem mit einem Soli-Picknick im Servitenkloster begonnen hat, soll fortgesetzt und neu verhandelt werden um eine breitere Öffentlichkeit zu mobilisieren.

Discussion with activists from the Refugee Protest Movement Vienna as well as teachers and students
from the Academy of Fine Arts
The Academy’s frequent involvement in the ongoing refugee protests is defined by the active participation of students and teachers since it began in fall 2012. The initiative Kunst_Kultur: Stop Deportation – a platform of supporters connected with the Academy of Fine Arts – has drawn attention to the situation and demands of refugees and shown solidarity through a variety of activities. The active exchange that began at events such as a solidarity picnic in Vienna’s Servite Monastery will continue and be renegotiated in an effort to mobilize the wider public.
